Hey defxon... I got an idea how to improve the Thrall. Change its name to voxion. Allow it to be the vox in its natural form, ie no outer shell, casing and then for a special ability it just has to travel to a structure and transform into whatever unit but it will cost the same as producing a unit from a exarch just (lose the 50 minerals required to produce the voxion) so people won't spam produce them and use it only during emergencies.
another idea concerning buildings. have the exarch transform the voxion into a building in the same manner the drone gets transformed into a building... you lose the voxion to form a building.

ps- tears of the moon. you have a lot of good ideas for your UED, have any for the vox?

vox means voice in latin

magnavox is a company that makes stereos i think, but it really means "loud voice" in latin.

And yea, i think i did help sinistha. Hope it worked out ok.

I'd rather go with silicon minion or something rather than slave, cuz the Vox are not evil. They don't enslave. They just go around looking for a fight so they can learn and improve themselves so they will never be invaded/subjugated ever again.

I only have one problem with your ideas: You have WAY TOO MANY special abilities. If this is supposed to be for SC, then you are going to have to remove some of those abilities. That many abilities insane and would be very, very hard to counter. Other than that, I like you ideas.

Special abilities are there, to give people an option on what they like and what they don't. Yeah, we'll definitely be trimming them down, but we would like to present these concepts first units are axed or changed. Like some of the units, I'm not to happy with, like the tempest. Also not a big fan of the sand flea. but that being said, every protoss, zerg and terran unit has a special ability or something that makes it stand out from the rest. name me the unit, and i prove to you it has a special ability.

Okay, so I've gone over the list, and I think that there really could be more abilities

Wiiiiiith exception to the thrall spark idea (which is actually kind of like my militia idea I had a long time back,) as well as the Earthbind spell (exarchs should be defenseless for how useful they are,) infusion, sentinels shouldn't attack air... I mean I guess you should really limit any major abilities to the sand flea, mystic, and exarch. Titan would probably be best with only one, good ability instead of 3, unstoppable abilities.

1. Agreed. Voxion it is and the mechanics will be changed according to your suggestion.
2. Mystics will soon be known as Elemancers.
3. Hellbringer will be known as Infernal. Don't want to have Stormbringers and Hellbringers.
4. Working on the tech tree. So far here's what I got:
Pinnacle - Nexus, enables voxions
Hydrosphere - Pylon, enables exarches
Processor - Assimilator
Assembler - Factory, enables prowlers
Enclave - Barracks, enables sentinels
Astral Relay - Starport, enables voyagers, talons

@ clubby: Exarches will be defenseless but retain their abilities. I'm in agreement with you to make the sentinels not attack air, leave that to the vanguard. I can see your point in making the titan the awesome land unit with abilities, a cross between mothership/thor. do you have any more suggestions? these ones you gave are real good.

@defxon: love the name elemancer. see your point regarding the hellbringer name change. looking forward to seeing that tech tree.

Before we axe abilities, here's the ability tally for the other three races (including obelisk and orbital command):
Protoss: 27
Zerg: 27
Terran: 26

So let's set the Vox at 27. We have 31 so far, which means, we're probably looking at one unit being axed. probably one of the casters. sigh, so much to do.
