Could someone explain why Vivendi knows better by now than to make Blizzard release a game early?
Someone mentioned this in an earlier post and I know nothing about it. Which game was rushed on to the shelves, and why? |

TOO MANY TO LIST. Some of them thankfully make it out just fine but most show that they were rushed (especially all those movie game adaptations). Blizzard has never seemed forced to release anything which is why practically everything they ever release is "gold". They have no problem bringing down a project like Ghost if it's not up to par with their quality/fun standards. Glad to hear some of the older talent is back but I honestly don't care as much as I care about whoever gets any role to do a GOOD JOB. That matters more than sounding the same or similar as long as they fit the character's role.

Bit off topic, but why is everybody confusing the Protoss demo with BR1?

Care to clarify? I certainly see that in other threads but why bring it up here?

To name one example, Blizzard was rushed in the development of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. As such, they weren't able to create a full cinematic cutscene for the battle between Arthas and Illidan, instead they had to show it with in-game graphics. When illidan was defeated, it appeared as though he died, however, it was Blizzard's intention to show that he was only wounded. A bunch of players figured Illidan died, and were confused to find that he was still alive later.. So a whole bunch of confusion about game lore was brought up because Blizzard was rushed. Thankfully, it wasn't that big of a deal since it had nothing to do with the gameplay itself, but it still made the game experience feel "less than perfect." I really hope Blizzard releases it in 2010, I would much rather have them release "a great game that came out late" than "a good game that could have been better." Besides, I'm still waiting for them to change that stupid "Spawn Infested Marines" ability of the infestor.... |

I did not know that CACA, thank you for that. BTW, got a shorter name we can call you? Otherwise "CACA" is staying cuz that's what you put in caps.
![]() Then go sleep Ukalla! But I do agree it baffles me when I see posts like "when did X unit lose Y ability?" when it was changed since last year. They could at the very least read the site's game guide if they care that much or actually ask WHY it was removed and not when which is not relevant overall.

Men! beta will take 4-6 months, I have a feeling a 2010 release date is a possibility.
Good to know that the old voice actors are back. Although just a personal preference, I like the new Kerrigan voice better now. ![]() They better fix that glitch up otherwise, FAQs and walkthroughs will be very short it will read like " To get through the single player and beat the AI all you need to do is use Siege tanks on cliffs" or something like that LOL. Isn't it a bit ironic, about the new pathing system? I mean it suppose to make movement a bit smoother and yet Mr. Browder said it causes units to clump up more. Oh well good for the siege tank and lurker then. And I bet it will be good to the protoss as well, force field and psionic storms yey. ![]() The lips moving on unit portraits is a pretty nice addition, though its too bad for the protoss. ![]()

I believe the ''Normal'' speed in Starcraft 2 matches the current ''Faster'' speed since I remember reading somewhere that Starcraft2 speeds only goes up to ''Fast'' and that it is just as fast as the ''Fastest'' we're seeing in Brood War.. And great news, though I have no intentions of putting myself into lore etc. so the voice thing really doesn't bother me, though I hope for all of your guys sake that the original Kerrigan will be brought back
wat?
