i think they have smart casting, don't they? in other words, you hit the spell once, and it only does it once. you don't have to select an individual unit. Yes, i'm almost certain they have this feature. no need to split your phoenixes up. And this new ability will come in handy ~if you happen to have a bunch of phoenixes already~. It will not be something you aim for alone. It will allow the phoenix to be built as an air superiority fighter without sacrificing ~all of your ground superiority~; something which basically left the terran valkyrie virtually unused in starcraft1, not because it was a bad unit, but because you just HAD to retain that ground power. If you don't remember, in ladder games (...the real games), the scout was also virtually unused. The corsair was used often, though, for its speed and its special abilities. Now, I do think the overload ability MIGHT of been overpowered, and that is why it has been removed. All this said, you are underestimating the tactical usefulness of this anti-gravity ability, particularly in taking out retreating units. And this, again, will not be something you start out and say... "i'm going phoenixes, for anti-grav". It will be like... "i just countered all those vikings with these phoenixes, and luckily I'm not about to get my ass run over cuz I got anti-grav". Overload was attempting to say ..."well, you don't need many of these for air superiority, if you use them right".

you have a point but
1) wouldnt it be better if your nullifier lifts ground units and your phoenixes overloads right into the middle of lifted ground units?
2)phoenixes also get disabled after using anti-grav so you need back up phoenixes to attack the lifted units
3)the same requisites need to be checked when chasing fleeing/retreating units
4)any massive units that are lifted do not recieve much damage from phoenix since the latter are great only in smaller units
4)phoenixes are air superiority fighters for crying out loud! bring back the overload which alows it to do its job properly!!

I think the colossus was meant to replace the reaper in the game. But it seems that Blizzard hasn't found the right formula for it yet. It will be too bad if it will be scrapped as it presents a really cool mechanic. With the right method of attack and a couple of good upgrades maybe, then it will be fine as a unit.

As for the Phoenix being an air superiority fighter. All I can say is, as of now it still needs work because its not yet cut out to fill in the role that the Scout has left.

Maybe if we put some two kinds of attack like the scout has (you know the missiles for air and normal for ground).

I m a bit confused still as some abilities has been scrambled. So what are the abilities of the following now (if fully up graded) Which has which?
1. Nullifier
2. High Templar
3. Phoenix

Hey! >:(

Immortals are my heros. You're just jealous that the Immortal is freakin awesome and they can pwn your stupid siege tanks.

Oh and Miles and I never used the Molecular Displacement ability, we don't know anything about it.

immortals are def better this way, I like them as a bigger tank unit, this thing is gunna rape armored ground =]. The colossi is gunnna get fixed though, everybody is so pissed off at this that blizz is going to have to change it, like in the first yellow and sonkie match, yellow tried to use colossi but they were just way to ****ty to do anything, they die so damn fast.

No, it is not affected by EMP as it is a (passive) ability.
