Starcraft 2 Armory - Unofficial Starcraft 2 Fansite

Blizzard released 5 new art pieces in a press CD for the Leipzeg gaming convention in Germany. Two of the art pieces had already been seen in the artwork/cinematic trailer, but they have now been officially released. The titles given are what Blizzard called them, check out the final image.

Good catch Roland and it's all great artwork... but something makes me wander... If Blizzard is releasing artwork of "Diablo's Head" (not to mention it's a whole new model of diablo's head; he looks different in D3 than from D2) would this mean that Diablo will make a return?

Well, it could just be a fresh twist, or it could be like and image of him in the dark abyss/void where he really would be only s spirit so any drawing of him one be like an impression of his soul... One thing that I noticed though is that Diablo isn't possessive, it could just be a title like saying "Starcraft planet" or something if Blizzard wanted to show an unamed planet.

BTW: There were like 20 something screenshots that went with the art, but I haven't gotten them up yet. It'll be a pain to post them all with the coding and everything. That and the October issue of PC magazine scans for Diablo 3. I need to post those too, but I think my power might go out soon, cause there's an almost-hurricane right outside might house.

Hey Roland, just curious if you think this a slight different rendering of Beliel's head due to the fact of the sword type flame on the forehead (perhaps Imperius'). And I think we only saw Beliel/The demon in the cinematic with his mouth open roaring, never closed and perhaps this is what he looks like when hes calm and not angry.

Thoughts?

Edit: Just compared the two pictures and it definetly looks like the same creature. So either this is both Beliel or both Diablo.

Well maybe, later I will do photoshop comparisions and stuff. The cinematic demon was full and had a body though, this is just a floating face.

We have no idea if it is Diablo heads... only Diii.net said so, doesnt make it is. People assume way too much.

Well diii.net didn't call it that, diii.net is just relaying information, they blatantly said that those are the titles Blizzard gave them on the press CD. The only way it could be wrong is if they're just totally lying, I'll try and find some other coverage to verify.
