I haven't been on here a whole bunch, so I'm not sure if this has been answered or what, but this has really been bothering me. I keep running across this screenshot on IGN, but can't find it anywhere else. TinEye didn't help, so maybe you guys can tell me whether or not it's fake?

So, hope you can help me out. 'm counting on you guys-

Yup, that pic is real, titled "Protoss NPC". I believe it is part of the Blizzard HotS press kit. Has been out for some time, since blizzcon.

This is real; I talked about her in my article (comment section) but was unfortunate to get an actualy picture of her until now. Here was my reponse when asked about her on TeamLiquid.net

TL;DR: The Protoss is an NPC in heart of the swarm, and her name is Lessara. I was able to play her during the demo @ BlizzCon 2011.

After completing Silence their Cries, Kerrigan is informed that there are a few Protoss survivors. Kerrigan decides to spare their lives and take them to char as 'prisoners'. This is when Lassara is introduced as the only NPC Protoss prisoner we get to see/interact with. Lassara expresses her hatred she has for the Zerg and the Queen of Blades. Kerrigan, now less menacing then she was as Infested Kerrigan, promises that she wont hurt Lassara as she appears to be no threat. As you interact more with Lassara she begins to talk about her research and colony she had on Kaldir. Lassar also starts to gradually open up to Kerrigan despite the hatred she and her race have for the Queen of Blades.

One thing I distinctly remember Lassara saying to Kerrigan was: "You've murdered millions of people" in which Kerrigan displayed distraught at Lassara's comment.

Overall, Lassara appears to be fearless and expresses her mind freely at Kerrigan. However, Lassara does cooperate with Kerrigan and even expresses slight gratitude to Kerrigan for sparing the lives of her and the remaining Protoss survivors. Despite only getting to talk to Lassara for a few missions, I would say she seems to be much more confident and optimistic then Hanson was.

Durring the demo I felt that Lassara was touching the empathy and humanity inside Kerrigan, like an angel on Kerrigan's shoulder (similar to Hanson on Raynor's shoulder).

Read my post above; She's not a Zealot she is a colonist. And lore says Protoss females do fight in battle. The Starcraft novels have shown and expressed a lot of feminine warriors such as Selendis.

That and you know, losing so many soldiers probably would of made the stringent requirements to be a zealot drop a bit(which is how I explain the drop in shields).

Anyway it's not hard to see that she isn't a Zealot(look at the wrists).

Hmm, interesting. I certainly overlooked this picture. It also seems to me that she's in a Zerg Hive or sth. What's she doing with Kerrigan then?

Well, I do not see this female protoss and Kerrigan wresting around in creep, tearing each-other cloths off so I think many male fans would be disappointed. Unless you just like to watch woman kill each-other, then you might be happy.

damn it's been awhile since I last checked up on this.
@Topic: is it me, or does protoss clothing look..heavy? I mean look at Lessara, she's a Protoss Colonist and to wear that everyday or so would be infuriating to put on. Anyways, looks interesting, and she's in place of the Leviathan, which is where most of the action will take place in HoTS (well not action but Kerrigan's home base of operations, seeing as it can hold an Evolution Chamber inside, other buildings, and even perhaps produce it's own larva)

P.S. wow this Armory has came from the speed of traffic hour to the speed of a dead snail. Scrapping the barrel, aren't we?
