Starcraft 2 Armory - Unofficial Starcraft 2 Fansite

I've noticed that there are a lot of creative writers here in the fan fiction portion of the forum and there has this idea that's been nagging at the back of my brain for the last few months now.

So what is it? An awesome new fanfic? I got wasted and I'm posting my pics? I'm finally proclaiming to the world that I devour souls?

No,Maybe later and No.

The Idea is this. Seeing as I'm already a part of a god awesome Starcraft Text RPG on another forum that provides an interesting alternate story line from the current lore because we made with actual new characters,planets,Several new Sectors and in some cases more awesome units and technology and since most of you guys are too lazy to bother to register on that particular forum for only that particular text RPG. (We do offer a wide selection to choose from btw.) I'm thinking of Recreating Starcraft:Era of Conflict from that forum into this forum with several totally different rules and mechanics along with keeping several of the current rules found in Starcraft:Era of Conflict.

The reason why im asking you guys this first is so that i don't accidentally waste my time with this concept. We've tried it in that particular forum with only a few users so I'm looking for at least 8+ people interested in this before i kick it off. And to conserve Forum space.

It's actually quite fun. Aside from several technicalities that I'm and my friends are working on.

To be honest, I am interested in this concept, but I am not sure that Gears or any of the moderators will be happy about this. Your idea constitutes as a forum game, which have been banned by Gears. Yes, it sounds interesting, but Gears would have to confirm that it is allowed. Also, you would need a moderator, or any non-aligned Armory member, to make sure that no one would break any rules of the game and create scenarios that the players must face.

So, before I sign on, I would like to see more of the preparatory steps taken, such as Gears' permission and someone to be the neutral, yet fair, governing body that creates any scenario to test the players.

I'll be pretty interested. Sign me up if this is allowed, as KS already stated that stuff like this twas banned.

We'll see how this goes so count me in if this is sanctioned(you could always threaten the mods by giving them STD's like ramp).

I do not think this is going to be allowed. This is exactly a definition of a forum game, and this is in fact, a mainly starcraft 2 related forum.

I'd be interested in participating, assuming that we get the go-ahead and this doesn't get closed.

@Spamman, PM a higher authority to ask for special permission. I'm sure you'll have no problems getting people though, as most people who posted here are willing to play.

There is nothing in the rules that would force Spamer101 to contact a staff member for permission to run something like this.

What some of you are referring to is a thread that ended the "Fun Forum Game" fad. That was created for the specific purpose of ending the tons of worthless threads that plagued the Off Topic forum.

Spamer101's RPG seems to be a well structured idea, and does not fall under what was previously banned.

*Rampskalle did ask for permission to start his "The hunt for Hsqu", but that was on his own will to make sure it was okay.

actually, for me, i think i might just want to watch instead of join. but it looks interesting (currently in the dungeons of Hsque)

One of the most important things have happened. We have an okay. Now there should be a neutral player identified to run the game. Does anyone have any ideas on who would be someone for the job?

If no one else shall step up, I'll be the neutral player. The story won't have my awesome dosage of humor and wit, but that's something you folks didn't have until I came along anyways, eh? xD

Hmm... I will join. If everyone else is doing it, it must be cool!
Two things though, what characers will be avaible?
And, could you possibly make it so that only people that know teh gramarz can j0nz?
Or maybe possibly just make them learn grammar.
