Starcraft 2 Armory - Unofficial Starcraft 2 Fansite

I'm working on an FAQ of the more common lore issues to prevent redundancy of over-debated issues in this forum, however, it's looking like it will be shorter than it should, and so I'm asking you all to ask as many simple lore questions as possible for me to include. I've already looked through my old lore threads and am coming up short (having trouble getting a 13th). Generalization is preferred, more specific issues don't fit the "Frequently" requirement in FAQ

I'll post the thread within a day or so, I'll edit in any valid questions after that.

I'd also like to point out that I predicted exactly what the cycle is, 6 days before the release of Twilight. Hurray for prophecy! Unfortunately I also "corrected" myself a few posts down. Boo at plot holes!

Here are a couple just to get you started. Just to note, I only know the second one.

-The relationship between Infestors and Infested Terrans, and how they come to be.
-Is Duran a Xel'Naga?

brilliant work, could you possibly give any links to some information like the hybrid question asnwer concerning the Xel'Naga temples creating the proper hybrids?

because if blizzard have said so then that means that the phoenix/energy creatures that have hatched from the Xel'Naga temples are the true hybrids and the new generation of Xel'Naga.

Sorry, my terminology must have been off, I didn't want to go to in depth on the energy creatures because it's a large subject, but they hatch from temples "absorb" as many Protoss and Zerg as possible (it's confirmed they don't care for Terran) then fly off, probably to the wormhole Zeratul found. What they do on the other side is unknown, probably "upload" the absorbed Protoss and Zerg into another Xel'naga location, which then uses the gathered essences to create a hybrid somehow.

1. Char Aleph, the infested space platform over Char.
2. Of most of the terrans, yes. However, they don't influence Umoja, its colonies, and fringe worlds.
3. There had been no answer of yet.
4. They go through photosynthesis.
5. 500 years.
6. Terran ghosts are psionic and much of the terran population will become psionic in about a hundred years.
7. It is a subconscious link between protoss. Unlike most people think, it does not enable psi powers, since ghosts seem to be fine without the khala.
8. He saved the dark templar from getting massacred few hundred years ago, and the conclave told the general public of protoss that Adun saved the Khala-protoss from dark templars, therefore being seen as a hero from both sides. His actions later saved the protoss from extinction and assimilation.
9. It is the home planet of Protoss, occupied by the zerg.
10. Shakuras is the adopted home planet of dark templar, banished by the rest of the protoss few hundred years ago in events involving Adun.
11. It was the previous leader of the zerg, created by the Xel'naga, which the overmind killed, and infested Kerrigan. When it landed on Aiur, Tassadar crashed a supercarrier filled with huge amounts of both high templar and dark templar psi energy, killing it. However, Daggoth, the 2nd in command of the swarm, merged itself and a lot of other celebrates to create another overmind, which the UED enslaved due to luck in the part of the UED. Kerrigan, ruling over half the zerg swarms, manipulated protoss and the Dominion to kill the overmind, and heavily sabotage protoss and the Dominion, and destroy the UED.

13. The one surviving celebrate is in control of Kerrigan, and it is too inexperienced to do anything much. This question is unanswered, since experience can be gained.
14. 99.9999%. The 0.0001% are exceptions, although it is much lower than 0.0001%. I was just lazy.
15. Somewhat. It has a planetary shield no amount of EMP can drain, and the surviving protoss still have lots and lots of weaponry.
16. 1 of the first 3 Terran colonies. They control 2 planets, and are in rather hostile terms with the Dominion, although not in war.
17. Nothing. It never was created.
18. Hybrids.
19. Being sad about killing the matriarch and searching for Xel'naga artifacts.
20. Drinking.

thats what i was thinking, or maybe the creatures go through some kind of mitosis and evolution where they rapidy reproduce and become more perfected very time.

have blizzard wrote any articles with any information like this other than the dark templar saga books?

oh and azreal's 3rd questions answer is that the artifacts are the key to the completion of the cycle.
so the artifacts somehow help the production of the new generation of Xel'Naga, they might possibly be what is needed to refine the dna and make a perfect splice.

I just want to give one message to Roland, when you are finished with the Lore FAQ there is some grammatical errors that need to be corrected, minor but still needs to be corrected.
