Starcraft 2 Armory - Unofficial Starcraft 2 Fansite

Dear members and visitors of the StarCraft II Armory!

Another year has passed and many things have occured in that span of time. Yet, for StarCraft fans, this year will be marked as another year of waiting for the sequel. Ironically, we leave this year at approximately the same point we did last year.....in anticipation of beta and hoping for a release in the coming year. For some, the "final stretch" has become too long of a stretch and have even gone so far as to proclaim StarCraft II as vaporware.

Sadly, the Armory itself has felt the consenquences of the prolonged wait. In spite of the ocassional bright points, such as our own administrator gearvOsh being hired by Blizzard and several tournaments motivated by a renewed interest in Brood War, even our members have become fatigued from the expectation. Some have started to visit the website less frequently or not at all while others have seen improper behaviour as an outlet for their boredom. Overall, the year 2009 will most likely not be remembered fondly by Armory members and it leaves very little to be optimistic about.

Yet, the beginning of a new year is not the time for despair. It is a time for hope and renewed vigour. While updates became less frequent in 2009, Blizzard did provide new information on a semi-frequent basis, showing us that the development of the game was still going at full capacity. In addition, the showcasing of the game at various events allowed us to witness the game`s progress with our own eyes. The Battle Reports and the videos from this year`s G-Star will particularly remain as positive impressions for many as they were of great help in making the wait slightly more bearable.

With that in mind and as the clock strikes midnight in the first parts of the world, the SC2Armory staff wishes all it`s members and visitors happy holidays and many successes in the year 2010. Will this be the year of StarCraft II? Nobody knows for certain. But we can certainly hope that will be the case.

Happy new year to you guys too.You guys do alot for running this site,and I thank you guys for that Hope the new year also brings in more people,news,beta and hopefully some time,the game.

I wanted to post this early so that even our members that will be getting the new year first (like Korea in 5 minutes) get the greeting.

Also, I request anyone else from staff to put this on the front page. I would, but it would cause the post bug again and gearvOsh is not around to fix it.

Happy New Year to everyone... 2010 will be a very memorable year to all Starcraft 2 fans, I believe. Not only will the Beta finally gets started, but also the first episode of the sequel, Wings of Liberty, will be released as well. Let's just hope for the best...

I miss Illidan, but his absence is understandable; there isn't anything worthwhile happening in the world of SC2. X_X

Yah, I celebrate two times, too, but I won't go into much further detail. ^^

I don't celebrate at all , anyways hoping for 2010 to be the year we mob our local game stores for a copy of Sc2(hopefully we won't be too bored before then).
