At least I've learnt how to speak Blizzard now, so I can understand that what this post is really saying is that beta will start 2nd quarter 2010, and the game is scheduled to be released at the end of 2010. |

This means beta will end around September. Then they have 2 months to get the games packed and shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if the game comes out Q1 2011.

Meh.
Not surprised in anyway. Nor should the rest of you. It's never wise to be optimistic with blizzard. I knew the WoW merge with battlenet was not going to bring about beta lol. |

Did that really happen ?? With the new BNET actual ?? ?:) --> W.T.F.. That's really bad if happened.. (SRY WoW players, but the truth sucks if that the case) - that means that SC2 still hasn't got compatibility for BNET2's features and WoW has.. But can't still quite get it what/how.. True that different teams working on connected things, but still it's PC technology for all - means same networking for any application.. Guess that BNET2 team's the one we should seek info from now.. // Anyone know who ??

Oh my goodness... They did it again!
And now my nightmare has come true... Im going to the army before the game comes out.  Then I will be able to play it only on weekends and sometimes less... Damn you Blizzard!

i was suspecting so much as another delay. the game seems very VERY imbalanced. I wish that they could just scrap some of the ideas and make/reinvent old or new ideas.
so yea, after this delay, im expecting SC2 at November of next year

No it has not happened yet. And i doubt that they're merging with the new battlenet. It will happen november 11th, which is this wednesday. But it's just WoW merging with battlenet. Nothing more. T.T At least for the time being. |

I am not really surprised at all by this turn of events.
I am expecting Beta in January, February or March 2010 and for the whole game to come in Q3 not Q2 2010. Q2 seems like a way too optimistic prognosis. Hell it may even come out Q4 for all we know it but I will give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt and say Q3. Although I feel that I maybe too optimistic here. ^^ But one thing is for sure. StarCraft 2 is going to see the light of the day.... eventually. xD

Oh this is just ****ing bullshit! Do you guys remember what they said at Blizzcon? "Haha, of course beta will be this year!" Why can I not trust Blizzard with anything? Better yet, why are they so bloody incompetent with finishing this damn Battlenet 2.0 ? We don't need facebook, Twitter, plus hundreds of other applications implemented into the blasted thing. I honestly thought this Battlenet merger meant beta was imminent, but now I realize this "beta" won't be for SC2.
Nay, Blizzard is going to announce Cataclysm's beta before Starcraft 2's. I just know it. I just friggin' know it. Blizzard understands people are getting bored of WoW, so they release the lore-killing, half-assed expansion without a new class to drag us all back in. Whose up for boycotting Cataclysm if it gets released before SC2? |

i don't mind how long the game takes to come out, as long as when it comes out! it becomes the best game! with everything polished, well done, and beautifully done! wait but isn't it better to release the beta sooner so they get even more feed back? so the game is balanced or whatever more quickly?
