Tauren Marine In the old Confederacy, terran marines were mostly criminals or rebels who had undergone mandatory neural resocialization. Freed from any previous allegiances or ideologies, these fearless soldiers stood ready to defend Confederate interests with their lives but exhibited an annoying tendency toward petty larceny, vandalism, and occasional cannibalism. Confederate authorities were unable to requisition enough reliable troopers in this way, and eventually recruiters turned to a new source of fresh meat for the grinder. The obscure planet of Azeroth was found to harbor a dizzying selection of humans, mutants, and aliens in a state of perpetual superstition and conflict. The most physically imposing of these warrior races were the so-called 'tauren,' an anthropomorphic bovine genotype with super-human stamina, overpowered racial combat abilities, and bizarrely well-developed horticultural skills. While most tauren were satisfied with their agrarian culture and primitive existence, the Confederacy was able to lure away large numbers of young bulls for a life of adventure and violence along the galactic rim. Other tauren referred to these adventurers as 'mad cows,' and they were ostracized from the rest of their kine. The newly created tauren marines didn't care--they got neat-looking armor and big guns to own everyone else with. These beefy new soldiers are now an integral part of the Confederate military, and have managed to horn in on the roles traditionally filled by firebats and other infantry units. |

Drop Pods The Drop Pod was a deployment vehicle launched from the Shadow Ops. It could be loaded with up to 12 infantry units, even SCVs. The units are loaded at the Shadow Ops. To launch a Drop Pod, a Ghost had to sight a location for the craft to insert from the atmosphere, and then a pod would fall down, instantly deploying the infantry. |

Mine Drones The Mine Drone, when deployed, quickly creates a stationary structure, costing the Nomad energy. The Drone created four mines, similar to Spider Mines, then immediately cloaked itself and the mines. Each mine did 50 damage plus an extra 50 damage against armored units. The Drone replaced the mines after they detonated. However, this process temporarily decloaked it. The Mine Drone has since been replaced by regular Spider Mines. |

Targeting Drone The Targeting Drone is similar to the Auto Turret in the fact that it does not have a timed life. It currently costs 50 energy to deploy and has 120 hitpoints (all subject to balance of course). The Targeting Drone can target one unit at a time, and increases the damage that unit takes by 50%. You cannot have two drones targeting the same target. These drones are also flying, stealthed, and immobile. They may excellent perimeter defenses and can be coupled with Auto Turret raids to maximize the damage. Even though the drone is stealthed, visually, there will be a red laser coming from the drone aimmed at the target, so you will know when there is one around. |

Terra-Tron The terran military has always been known for its superior base-defense capabilities and constant drive to improve its fortification technology. Take, for example, the newly developed Ares planetary fortress and Crucio siege tank, or the heavily upgraded Broadsword missile turret. A few of these alongside some bunkers packed with marines provide a solid wall of armor, neosteel, and firepower to repel any threat, alien or domestic. But over the course of a prolonged defense, even the most hardened armor will crack; missiles and ammo will be depleted; and the toughest troops will be worn down. To create a truly comprehensive defense for high-priority, mineral-rich regions such as the volcanic uplands of Redstone, the terrans needed to devise an entirely new concept in battlefield strategy. Terran military engineers, led by Goraion Systems' head of development Dr. Ron Volt, have been working day and night to design a new kind of base for the terran armies: the titanic Terra-tron. At a recent defense conference, Dr. Volt had this to say:
With the use of magnetic flux generators and through some simple modifications to our existing building schematics, we've found we can utilize structures that already exist in our bases to assemble the frame of a siege-class combat walker, a construct that some of my colleagues insist on calling the Terra-tron. The Terra-tron is best deployed as a last-ditch effort to hold an important location on the grid. Currently the cost of operation is a bit of a problem, as energy conduits and pipes become dislodged or severed and leave dangerously exposed electrical wiring, steel framework, and sewage systems. However, let me assure you that we are working diligently on new waste-containment systems that should eliminate this problem and get our buildings back up to code in the near future."
|

Starbase The Starbase is a unit (or building how you look at it) that didnt see much light. It was an upgrade to the Starport that transformed itself into a flying fortress. The Starbase was capable of producing units while flying (except units that need a Tech Lab). It also had an ability to restore energy to a target. |

Radar Tower The Radar Tower was an upgraded form of the Sensor Tower. It originally had the Radar ability that revealed enemies in the fog, while the Sensor provided detection. The Tower was later scrapped and its Radar ability was moved to the Sensor Tower. |

Munitions Depot The Munitions Depot was a tech requirement for the Thor (when it was built by an SCV). It was the last building in the tech-tree and also offered upgrades for the Thor. You did not need 1 depot per 1 Thor, that was a rumor that was untrue. |

Deep Space Relay The Deep Space Relay was the original building to unlock the Battlecruiser, and housed the respective upgrades. It was later replaced with the Fusion Core. |
