If only I could find some good videos with them in there
 At the moment, the only videos I could find were in bad quality, so the picture came out extremely blurred.   |

Does anyone else here realize how ridiculously large these file sizes are? Now I don't have a problem against animated avatars (I've made some myself), but do you really need that many frames in an image? Please consider that those avatars average around one MB. If you have five people who posted on a page with one of those avatars, that is like downloading a five minute song (in a pretty good quality - and just for the avatars alone) just to read one page of a thread. That is awful.
You can make a picture appear pretty fluid with less than ten frames. Please try that next time.  |

I do realize some of these take a lot of space; I tried making them look as good as I could and yes, a lot of the frames are unnecessary. I can never seem to get it to look good and take up little space at the same time - - |

thats allso something i have noticed, due to the facial expressions and movements mean that, it makes it difficult to keep the frames a very small amount because it will create rapid movements, when the real thing is slower, its just like the zealot one (full cycle) i made it was 2x the real speed and that was 232 frames. it is quite difficult to try make it minimalistic. the same kind of thing is with the avatar i currently have...its faster than the real thing but it still has like 150-200 frames, i cant realy remeber i was a while ago that i made it.
timmay has a point but its one of those things, easyer said than done.  |

Mustachio, you should consider having an avatar like Liraco if what you want cannot be done efficiently. Also consider changing your signature. Do you really need a 418 x 110 to have the same file size of a decent quality song?
You don't need over four MBs of image data to express yourself. |
