Xylet stood on the command deck of the Space Station reading the owners manual.

"To whom it may concern, the Station is an intricate tool and weappon utilized in the early days of the Xel'Naga, blah blah blah... Bio docks, ship building capabilities, battle droids, cloning center, hangar, weapon cache's, Ah! here it is, Function as a Superweapon."

Function as a Superweapon

This Space Station has the capability to suck all life from a and use it to destroy a solar sytem in short. There is also an optional opption to create an army using the genectic structure of the beings originally on the planet. It can be accomplished in these easy steps.

1. Locate a planet.

2. Position the station in high orbit.

3. Line up the bottom of the station.

4. Insert the key to begin the fire sequence.

"KEY!? What key!?" Xylet said furiously as he flipped through the book to find any information about a key. About 6 hours later on page 1,346 he found it.

The Key

The key is used to activate the superweapon (page 567) and can be found in the Cloning Center. See page 7,890 for more uses such as unlocking doors, scraping chocolate off dashboards, and scratching the place on your back where you can't seem to reach.

"Err, Xylet?" one of the mutant zerglings said in a miniscule voice.

"WHAT!?"

"The entire cloning center has disapered along with all the survivors..."

"Why does this always happen to me!?" Xylet roared at the small creature.

"Karma?" he asnwered. And then within a second the Zergling thing found him self hurtling through space strapped to a rocket.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prelate was anxious. He had spent hours in his small fighter trying establish contact with what friends he had left in the Universe. But none answered his calls. He continued to pilot his ship down through the dark void of space, clinging on the smidge of hope that held his throttle in the forward position.

"They can't all be gone." he thought to himself. But another part of his mind told him that they all had perished long ago. Finally he changed the coordinates of travel back to the resort planet to bring the bad new when a small beam of light caught Prelate's eye. He looked by at the source to see that finally, someone had picked up his transmissions.

His one and only Mothership had heard his plea...

Well all of these tings are due to Prelate being a mass collector. He has stolen plans for battle droids and clones in (And Jango Fett's armor blueprints) 24 BBY and in 5,000, BBY he visited the Neo-Madlarorian Crusaders and stocked up on their special iron alloy by mind controlling a factory of them. He led the galactic rebellion against the Scrin and stolen hundreds of pounds of ichor from the tiberium hub to power his lab after the Scrin Empire fell in 2430 and after that the UED(or there precursors) salvaged interplanatary engines =) (At least in my universe) And I will soon to include even more extra-franchise things such as aliens and Predators, Starship Troopers, Halo (Forerunners being freinds of the Xel'Naga.) and more =)

can't wait for more video game combos in the series! did you get the halo idea from the fanfic I was writing? love the story and the fast-paced action really keep you on your toes!
would you kindly read this fanfiction?

The creature pulled a stool out to sit. Shadow leaned forward.

With a quiet voice, the creature began its story.

**************************************************************************

Two years ago, I was approached by a mysterious being, a Terran. He requested our permission to mine the metals that fill these hills. I told him that there were caves just west of our settlement. The being left.

After six months, I began to wonder what had happened to the Terrans. I went to look at the caves and there was no one there. I figured that they had abandoned their project.

Two months later, ships filled the sky. The man returned to our village and gave us materials in return for allowing them to mine. At first, we peacefully coexisted. Until the first series of Balrak attacks began to terrorize the mining station they constructed. The Terrans dug deep into the caves and woke the sleeping creatures. There used to be only a few out of hibernation every year or so, but now most of them are awake and angry.

The Terran leader asked us for help, helped them we did. We took care of the first set of Balraks and sent them back to the depths of their burrows.

During this time, I had perfected my English so that I can communicate between my tribe and the Terrans. I was naive, I must say. I never saw what would happen.

The Terrans saw how hard of workers we were. We labored continuously to prevent the Balraks from destroying the Terran station. In the middle of the night, Terrans kidnapped hundreds of our family members and hundreds of others from the surrounding tribes. Our kind was forced to work the mines, without protection. The Balraks at that time came back from their dens and killed many of us. The Terrans had been bringing in troops to hold back the creatures.

After I had found out what was going on, I had demanded that our people be returned. The Terrans refused, and escorted me back to my village. A rumor started going around that the Terrans would pay those who brought in others for their slave labor. Many more started to disappear from our own kind selling them off.

To our north, a settlement was destroyed because they had refused to allow the Terrans to take their people for labor. The settlement was burned to the ground and all of its inhabitants were beheaded, their heads went rom village to village as an example to the rest of us. Resistance melted and more slaves were sold.

I had enough. I organized a group that would dare to unleash the hives of Balraks that still slept. Just south of the Terran mining camp, we used stolen explosives and bravely coralled the Balraks to the mining facility. The Terrans were slaughtered, along with many of our people. I attempted to save the ones that I could.

Ever since then, the Terrans have not returned. Until yesterday, you showed up.

*********************************************************************

The creature sighed and leaned back against the wall.

"What is your name, my friend?" Shadow asked.

"The Terrans called me Thorn. But my name is Shatork, which means Red Thorn in my language." The creature said.

"Well Shatork." Shadow started.

But Shatork interrupted. "You may call me Thorn."

"Okay Thorn, may I have the honor to use the metals that have been harvested but lay unused?" Shadow asked.

"You may. I must say, you are different. If you need something from the race of Duras, sons of Adun, come to me and I will help. You will be welcome here." Thorn said.

Shadow picked up the two Protoss names that Thorn had used but did not wish to ask about them. "Thank you. I mean it, thank you."

Shadow and Thorn got up and left the small room. The pair proceeded out of the village, with other Duras looking at the two. Outside of the village, Thorn gave Shadow a talisman and the Terran's mutilated armor.

Shadow parted and headed back down the cliff edge. The rest of the day, he spent collecting the metal that he seeked and retrieving his pistols. Shadow's bare back glistened with sweat and the white wax.

45 slowly strolled along the Avairy. His smile was clear on his unmasked face. Leiutenant. he thought happily. I never thought I'd make it like this. Of course I should be sad about the loss of the former Grand Admiral... he then quickly dismissed the thought and continued to one of the holding cells in the Avairy. A large red feathered bird screeched a welcome to the new Leiutenant.

"How are you doing girl?" he asked the large bird, stroking it's golden beak affectionately. It made a soft purring sound in return. 45 reached into his backpack and retrieved a large rodent like creature and fed it to the bird. In a flurry the red feathers turned to tounges of flame as it spread it's wings. The smokeless fire began to drop off like think lava and it left the 15 foot high bird featherless, even so it still inspired a look of awe. Then like new sprouting grass, new red feathers grew in fast forward. Within mere moments, the bird was revived to it's priginal splendor but with bright golden feathers.

45 grabbed the Zero-Pressure suit and life support renewel systems and slipped into them. "We're going for a fly girl." he said beaming.

"Prelate!?" the Protoss' eyes widened in surprise.

"And who are you? Where is Kel'doras?" Prelate replied dazed at the suddenout burst from the young Protoss.

"I'm the new leader for this epeditionary vessel. Cora'en, Kel'doras passed away 16 years ago. I was born and raised here on the Perius" the youngling said.

"Well, I am glad noneless that you have reached my call. The station has fallen under enemy control... I will need all my forces in the attack, even the Protoss ones." Darkre replied grimly.

The young ones eyes became even wider, threatening to pop out of it's sockets "WHAT!? Not in all the ages of history have you ever risked a Protoss life other than that of yours and your apprentice."

"I'm afraid in this war, that will come to an end..."

After several exhausting hours, Shadow finally constructed his new armor. It's jet black surface glistened in the fading sun. Each plate was carefully placed and binded together with perfect metalorgy that Shadow had acquired under KnightSpector's watchful eyes.

The metal plates enabled his speed and flexibility, yet fully protected his body. Using parts that he salvaged from Prelate's supply store, Shadow designed the mask with highly attuned computer programs, enabling him to monitor his status better. He redisigned his psi blades to be more reliable and lighter.

Shadow put on the armor and tested it out. Turning on his shields, he felt his power surge through the suit. To his surprise, two shields were emitted. A shielding layer just over the armor and the standard bubble shield. Without having to put effort into it, Shadow effortlessly cloaked.

With his new armor, he branded the design as KnightShadow armor. He thought the name fit because of its black color and of his connection with his master, KnightSpector.

With his armor completed, Shadow got into his Eta-2 and left the moon behind.

The tongues of flame danced in waltzes around the darkened foundry. Molten streams of metal flew forth from chambers, each stream levitated on it's own powered by the intelligent crystal in the center of it all. Hundreds of streams collected at points to create new weapons, droids or walkers, then at the speed of thought, the streams redirected and continued along to form more metallic creations. Zasz slid through the mess of molten metals and approached the Crystal from the only walkway to it's platform.

"Sorry to bother you, but I need to place a high priority order. Code 13." Zasz said to the glowing crystal hovering in the middle of a golden anti-gravity ring.

"What!? How am I suppose to supply that kind of amount of machines, weapons, ships, and droids in that time with only discarded metals?" the crystal replied in a aggressive voice.

"Tractor beam in asteroids and melt them down?" Zasz suggested.

"Even if I am able to collect that much resources, this moons construction yards cannot produce it in that time." the crystal replied.

"You got me on that one. Do the best you can. We don't need quality right now, we need numbers. Use more malleable metals."

"What do we need 2 more Super-Cruisers 35 hghly sheilded sheild carreirs and 13,000 space to station offensive boarding ships?" the intellegance asked back.

"We're taking back the main station."

"Wouldn't it be easier to destroy the thing?"

"No there is to many valuable iteams on board."

"Then I should begin construction."

Chapter 3: Powers Divided

KnightSpector had found the perfect location upon a plateau that overlooked three cities. The large, flat plateau had rightfully earned its name Guardian Summit, for the small band of UED soldiers that held back Artousian Pirates from taking the three cities by using the local terrain to their advantage.

Lifting his arms into the air, a large dark cloud formed around the plateau and lightning crackled. Around KnightSpector, dark orbs formed and grew larger. Several bolts of lightning struck the orbs and blinding flashes of light blazed. When the light subsided, structures materialized. The soft green glow lit the darkening area, the clouds grew darker and darker.

Around KnightSpector, more dark orbs manifested. From the blood-like seeping, Blood Wraiths materialized and began to occupy the structures. As time went on, more Blood Wraiths appeared.

"Greetings, master." Goraem said, as he gave a slight bow to KnightSpector.

'Greetings, Goraem. Who is present?' KnightSpector asked.

"Gorith and Tygue are here as well. Many thousands of units have been called upon this planet." Goraem said, his calm nature was soothing, not like his vengeful nature of years past.

'What sort of resistance are we looking at? This Xylet is much more powerful than Kerrigan.' KnightSpector stated.

"From the various timelines now open to me, I have made sense to the chaos. There is a formula that predicts all results. Any timeline that results in a formula score of 0 or less is false, and the higher the formula score the more likely. I have identified eight high scoring timelines. Each one ends in victory, but each one varies on how specific battles end or how they don't even occur. Some of the futures even predict one of our deaths. All of the futures do have one thing that is certain, Xylet is much stronger than Kerrigan. His knowledge of the Protoss and Zerg alone make him dangerous. His army consists of twisted experiments and corrupted Protoss. I fear that the Terrans and Protoss may be forced to choose a side. According to at least five of the futures, the Terrans side with Xylet. All paths will be tough and require many losses of life on all sides." Goraem said, with his eyes downcast.

'So it seems that we have divided powers. Prelate controlling one portion of the Sector, me with another, and Shadow in the last. Our powers are divided so vastly that it may be difficult to mass an effective attack. Adun help us.' KnightSpector said, looking into the clearing skies to the various moons that glittered in the twilight.

************************************************************************

Shadow landed on Yanmar, a small fringe world planet that breamed with minerals. On the Eta-2 sensors, a mechanical exploration drone, or Mule, was detected below. Obviously this location wouldn't be a secret much longer.

Swooping down, Shadow hastily landed. He felt it was necessary to get to work before any Terrans began to show up in hopes to find an empty world. When his fighter touched ground, Shadow leapt out and kneeled.

In his meditative stance, Shadow called out to the Blood Wraiths. Within a hour, all of the Blood Wraith forces under Shadow's command began to occupy the small, lone planet.

Seven Dark Nexuses covered the planet, with an accompaniment of twelve Incubators (the Blood Wraith unit building structure). Other structures covered the planet surface and subsurface as well.

"Greetings, Master Shadow." A Shaman said to the Terran.

"Who are you?" Shadow asked, puzzled by this Blood Wraith.

"I am Shaman Tuguer, your second-in-command and personal aide. I will help you remain in contact with your units and with your master, Master KnightSpector." The Shaman said, with a smile.

"Have you ever seen combat?" Shadow asked with curiosity.

"I have, I have been in the First Conflict, the Bhekar Ro Engagement, and the Invasion of Tarsonis. I personally have killed thousands of enemies by my mind and arm blades." The Shaman said, with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Then you will be a perfect aide. Your first task. Am I utializing the planet's resources effectively?" Shadow asked.

"I believe that you are. Though Shaman Goraem would be much better at resource management, I am specifically combat class. Though I forgot to mention that our resource pool is already more than enough to supply the growth necessary to effectively manage this planet." Tuguer said.

Shadow was about to reply, when the Shaman held up his hand.

"A Hornet has spotted a large fleet of Terrans exiting Void Space and approaching the planet. We should prepare what defenses we have for this threat." The Shaman advised.

"I figured." Shadow said, rolling his eyes at the obviousness of the Shaman's conclusion.

"Even the wisest of beings need to be reminded that, in a conflict for the Galaxy, feelings cannot get in the way of sacrifice for the greater good." Cora'en growled at the old dark templar. Prelate had boarded mere minutes ago and just began his battle strategy when Cora'en had interupted. Prelate cringed at the young ones glare. But replied anyway, "If feelings are left out of war, what will inspire the people to make sacrifices!?"

Cora'en barked back menancingly, "I thought you were a wonderful military leader! At least that's what the textbook imply! But now I see your just a soft old Protoss who can't grasp the reality and severity of war."

"Now I see why the conclave ordered the Dark Templar's death. They were afraid not being connecte in the Khala would cause those with no memories of the past no way to fully understand one another. You have becom to much like the Terrans! So glad to sacrfice your own brothers in the midst of defeat just to claim glory! Your pride has swallowed you!" Prelate responded in a powerful tone he had not used in a long time, the pounding thoughts and emotions caused Cora'en to cringe but not for long.

"No, NO! I have not been blinded by pride! It is you who have been blinded by your age and emotions! I am the future you are the past!" the youngling ignited his psi-blade and waved it around menancingly.

Prelate waved his hand and flung the young one into the nearby wall. "I have not come aboard this ship to argue. I am here to gather those who are still loyal to me and take back what's mine."

"So... this is all for a selfish cause is it!? The Galaxy isn't really in dan..." he suddenly stopped as the Dark Templar raise him by the collar of his armor and tared at him threatningly.

"But, but, you were over there a moment ago..."

"Time and space don't restrict me lie it does to you. But this is far from a selfish endeavor, if my enemy manages to keep that station, the entire galaxy will be at risk." then when Darkre let go, Cora'en crumbled to the floor.

"I cannot fight a war if my own people are like this, but perhaps there are some still faithful." he thought to himself as he swept into the city from the boarding area.

The mothership was more crowded than he remembered. It was apparent that this was a new generation of Protoss he was looking at. Born and raised here on this ship. Near the center of the ship stood the Ah'saluros, or more simply put; The Library.

Approaching the great building Prelate stopped midway, his cloak hung around him limply as he came face to face with a sign.

Building condemned. Scheduled for destruction in [2] hours.

They are condemning the building that they are here in this mothership? Where are the scholar who should be protecting this place? he asked himself. Then the answer hit him square the the chest.

"Because all the ones that care about this place is officially dead."

"Kel'Doras? Kel'Doras is that really you!?" Prelate replied with almost school girl like shrieks of delight. Trying to find where the voice emenated from.

"In a way yes, and in a way no. I am the memories and consciousness of the Preserver and scholar that was known as Kel'Doras. But I am imprisoned in the great crystal that this infernal ship draws power from."

Prelate looked up at the levitating crystal which glowed with every thought sent out by the spirit that in habited it.

"The Library was doomed when Cora'en supposably released us of our duty. In truth he just imprisoned our souls in the Khaydarin Library and burned our bodies. Keil'Doras sighed heavily, or at least he gave the thought of sighing and his new crystalline body glowed softly for an extended period. "I am now known as the Great Crystal Sage Doras to the commoners. I am only Kel'Doras to Core'an and the spirits trapped in the Library about to be demolished.

At those thoughts, waves of sorrow, misery, hate, anger, and even perhaps pity washed over Prelate. Even the intense feeling of anguish of being trapped in a crytal body while a new foolish leader killed the last remainder of his friends and lead this group to their dooms reached this Dark Templar severed to the Khala.

"I feel your sorrow old friend. But I have to ask of you a favor. I need to transfer all the documents in the Library into you and then get it and you out in a smaller crystal and along with anyone that's loyal to me."

"It might be actually easier just to dump Core'an onto a planet somewhere and bring the whole mothership with you. These Protoss have reconnected with the Khala and will follow you, their true leader."

"Your still a genius alright." Prelate laughed. "I'll go ready the airlock for throwing Core'an out."

Above Yanmar, starships fought living ships. The Nova Class Battlecruisers have been much improved upon since the last engagement, and a new class served as the flagship. The Dominion Ship Knighthawk was the first of the Executioner Class Battlecruisers. Its turbo laser ripped apart the flesh of Hunters, Raiders and Seekers alike. The Vikings still had much difficulty combating the Razorbacks.

Dropships rained down upon the planet surface, dropping off wave after wave of Marines and Seige Tanks. The anti-air defenses of the Blood Wraiths downed many dropships but more filled their places. The Blood Wraiths sent Brutes, Drakes and Scouts to hold back the advancing lines of Terrans. Leeches were slowly advancing to the front to provide support.

Shaman Tuguer came to Shadow with a report. "Master, our Hornet has reported that another Terran fleet has exited warpspace. It estimates that we have twenty minutes before it arrives."

"Then we must hold off the forces long enough to strengthen our own forces. I want all of our structures outputting units as quickly as possible. We need this planet." Shadow said, slamming his fist on a metal table.

"Yes, master." Tuguer said with a bow.

Above the planet the Battlecruisers were losing ground, but they still inflicted heavy damage to the Blood Wraith fleet. The Defense Matrices were failing and the missile pods were overloading or emptying. The Blood Wraiths regrouped and unleashed Shadow Beams, annihilating the Terran vessels. Raiders unleashed their shockwaves and erupted the Plasma Charges. The Knighthawk began to back away, parts of the Battlecruiser glowed with the flames that raged inside the hull.

The Wraith fleet held back from pursuit, awaiting the next Terran fleet.

On the ground, blood ran in torrents. The Terrans were rapidly slaughtered by the quicker Blood Wraith counterparts. Tanks burned and bodies littered the battlefields. The Blood Wraiths roared with their first victory. With the Terran forces taken care of, the Blood Wraiths regrouped in anticipation of the next wave.

Xylet continued to pace around after activating the ships interactive troubleshooting computer. He stared angrily at the electronic sentience.

"I'm going to ask you one last time! How does the superweapon work!?"

The computer replied in an annoying optimistic voice, "I am happy to tell you again that the answer is 42."

"ARRRRRHG! That doesn't answer my -bleep- QUESTION!"

"Yes it does. 42 is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. By the way, would you care for a cup of something that resembles but is not quite tea?"

"How many times do I have to say that I DO NOT DRINK LIQUIDS!!! ONLY LIGHT!" Xylet roared. "For the love of Khas! Does my old master keep anything here that doesn't drive me insane???"

"42." the computer replied.

"Shut up! Hulion! Take a scouting fleet and find that fool."

"Yes my lord." he hissed back as he retreated into the walkway.

"Computer! Tell me, where would my old master go in refuge..."

"I'd be glad to inform you that he always wanted to go to the restaurant at the end of the Universe! Milliands to be precise!"

Xylet screwed his face up and banged his head against the monitor close to sobbing.

"Awww... Would you like a tissue?" the computer asked.

The Blood Wraiths were prepared for the new fleet of Terran forces that now approached the Wraith fleet.

"Let all of the Terran Dropships through our air defenses. I want them to witness the power of the Blood Wraiths and their leaders. I will be going to the frontlines myself." Shadow told Shaman Tuguer.

******************************************************************

Dropships flooded past the Blood Wraith fleet as the Terrans closed in for battle.

"Something isn't right, Admiral." One of the Dropship pilots said. "We aren't being shot at, I think something is wrong. Maybe we should pull back."

"Ensign, you will continue to your drop zone. You aren't supposed to think, I'm in charge and I tell you what to do. And when I give a command you damn well follow it." Admiral Herbois yelled.

"Yes, I understand Admiral. I will proceed with the drop."

The Terran Dropships zipped into the Yanmar atmosphere and unloaded their troops, without a single Dropship lost. In fact not a shot was fired. The planet was silent and that made the Terrans uneasy.

******************************************************************

"Take the fleet now," Shadow told Tuguer.

"Yes, master." The Shaman said and telepathically ordered the fleet to engage the Terran's fleet.

"I want all of our forces to hold position and I will confront their leader."

"Yes, master. I will make sure that no Wraith charge the field until you order such." The Shaman said, with a bow.

Shadow walked towards the Terran frontlines.

'Bring me your leader. I wish to talk before I battle you.' He boomed telepathically.

Standing in the middle of the battlefield, Shadow watched a large Reaper approach him. The Terran was much taller but he was sluggish in movement. Shadow looked at the Reaper.

'Are you the ground force commander?' He asked.

"I am, what is it too you? I'm a ****ing general, the only one of my kind." The Reaper said with a gutterial voice.

'I am here to tell you to back down now, while you still have the soldiers to leave. Enough Terran blood has been spilt today.' Shadow said, urging him to leave.

"Why do you think that the Dominion would stand down when they have laid claim to this pathetic rock, Protoss? I will not back down." The Reaper grunted.

'I thought you would say that.' Shadow said and in a blink of an eye, he ignited his psi blade and decapitated the Terran.

The other Terrans, watching in the distance, jumped in horror as they saw their 'fearless' leader fall to the ground, missing his head. Enraged the troops began to rush Shadow.

Raising his arms, Shadow reached out and lifted several seige tanks into the air. With the now mechanical projectiles, Shadow crushed the approaching Terrans. With the blink of a thought, Shadow ignited the seige tanks and flames and smoke bellowed outward and upward. Before retreating, he threw psi storms about the battlefield.

Returning to the Wraith frontline, Shadow nodded to Shaman Tuguer. With a roar, the Blood Wraiths and Shadow charged the Terrans.
