"This was not in my job description master!" Fredrick complained as he fired his revolvers rapidly at two Spire drones, each of the bullets missed the agile creatures and ricocheted off the walls.
"Sure it was. I just didn't specify battling mutants created by an insane apprentice of a old friend. But it is still "Destroying any evil creatures"" KnightSpector replied humorously. Dark Prelate turned around and threw a psi-slash at the top of the tunnel, causing a massive cave-in of metal blocking the Spire drones line of fire. "If your done, I like to get going before they alert the vanguard we have escaped." "Die you freaks of nature!" then blaster fire rang out through the hallway. "Roger, roger." "No not you! Them." "Ohhhh..." "Who said that?" Fredrick asked staring at both Dark and Knight. "Must be survivors. And by the sound of it, two droids and a clone." Prelate replied as he began to run full speed toward the noises. A clone commando stood back to back with two OOM battledroids and were slugging it out in the middle of the weapons depot, fighting back hordes of revipers, mutant roaches, and even a Omegalisk. Spotting Fredrick and Prelate the Commando rammed the hilt of his rifle into a reviper and dashed toward the trio. The two battledroids followed close behind staving back more of the creatures with unrelenting blaster fire. "Omega 1345, sir. These are units 678 and 908 we are the only survivors on this level." "Are you sure?" Dark asked anxiously. "Affirmative. We do not read any droid signals nor Clone signals." Unit 678 replied in a metallic monotone voice. "Are the anti-riot droids still operational?" KnightSpector inquired to 45. "Yes sir, but I don't have the pass codes." "Fortunately I do." Prelate responded. "What about the Auto-Turrets?" Fredrick asked recalling the broken wall guns he had seen before. "All of them destroyed. Won't be any use to us sir." "Help." 908 responded as he continued to blast back the creatures. Knightsepctor raised his hand and unleashed a powerful psionic blast and incinerated all the Mutants in the room. "Lets go find a computer console." |

This is getting very good. Too bad it is difficult to help because I am limited in the information about this fanfic. I don't want to mess up anything because I just randomly post. So please continue and if I can post a good segment of my own then I will. I will look forward to what happens. Good luck!

KnightSpector cloaked and started to run northward from the Weapons Depot, the rest of the group close behind.
"Not to be offensive or anything sir, but do you have any idea where we're going?" 45 asked, reloading his rifle. "Don't look at me. Knight is the one who said he'd find the computer console." Dark responded. "I hope there are Droidekas. Those are really useful." 78 commented. "I agree. They make everything a lot easier. But they do attract an awful lot of grenades." 08 replied. "Shut up you two, and keep your weapons at the ready." Fredrick spat, throwing a rather impatient look at the two conversing droids. "Roger, roger." they replied in unison. "Everyone. Stay still. There is quite a bit of mutants up ahead. I'll go dispatch them." KnightSpector shushed everyone telepathically. Sadly, the Droids did not have a brain and therefore couldn't hear KnightSpector. So unlike the rest of the group, they continued forward. 13 Revipers turned around at the metallic footsteps of the two and began to approach them. Quickly from the shadows, KnightSpector struck, slicing two of them clean open and knocking the other out with a strong telekinetic blast. The other ten were shot by the two droids with surprising accuracy. "Hey, look! A computer console. Oh, but it's fried." 08 sighed. "I bet I could patch that up." 45 boasted, "I was in the infiltration corp." Splooish a blob of black material escaped from a crevice on the floor and formed into a vaguely Protoss shape and ejected two oblong chan cutters from it's wrist. Drops of the sludge began to ooze onto the ground and disinagrate on contact. "EVERYONE! Airseals on or hold your breath! He has Shadow Snaps on his back!" Dark pointed out about 6 Dark Indigo buds hanging down from his back. Each of them ended with a small spout. |

45 raised his D-17 adaptable blaster and began unleashing round after round in the creature, burning significant amount of holes into the black fluid-like flesh. Quickly regenerating the fluid, the creature opened his back pods and began to release a cloud of dense smoky material that began to spread quickly through the hallway.
Fredrick turned on his breath mask and began to fire his revolver rounds. The bullets stuck in the watery interior of the creature and exploded, tearing the creature into three's. Regenerating the wounds, the black blobs turned into three fullsized replicas of the original monster. Each of them generated swords from the wrist blades and charged at the group, continuing to spray Shadow Snap Spores. Prelate activated his Zard and like wise charged at the creatures. Blades clashed and a massive sword fight began. Dark fending away 3 blades at once, while spinning elegantly during counters, redirecting the energy of their attacks. 45, 08, and 78 snuck pass the fight sneaking toward the computer terminal. "There seems to be a particle seal on the control panel, It is impossible for us to access it." 08 said staring at the panel. "No problem" 45 replied blasting it with a shot from his rifle, utterly destroying the particle seal, allowing the droids to jack into the computer mainframe. "What's the passcode?" 08 asked. "Passcode..." 78 replied. "Right." 08 said, entering the code. Silver door panels began to extrude all over the walls, compact droidekas began to deploy from the panel shafts. And began to fire at the creatures. On shot went astray and struck Fredricks breath mask. Fredrick immediately fell to the floor after inhaling some of the material, his face began to turn blue from lack of oxygen, and his veins began to pulse voilet. Large boils began to burst forth on his skin, filled with yellow-green puss. KnightSpector swooped down next the Fredrick and stared deep into the half-conscious eyes of Fredrick. |

KnightSpector's rage was building. With cackling energy, KnightSpector used powerful lightning on two of the dark creations.
'What are these things weakness, Prelate? You created them.' KnightSpector asked. ******************************************************* Fredrick lost conciousness. In his dying state, he had a vision. Fredrick's dad, who was a marine during the Brood War, appeared. "What the **** are you doing? You're a ****ing soldier, you little ****. I thought you would die fighting like I did, not die like a pansy. If you die now, you are more worthless than any other before your ****ing ass was born. Now get up and give them hell, you ****er." Fredrick's dad spat. Another person appeared. It was one of the Gori. "To live, you must follow my instructions. You will need to cough violently and continuously. After you have coughed up most of the sludge in your lungs, you will need to gather your psionics and send yourself into violent convulsions. With the convulsions you will loosen the effects of the creature. Start coughing now." The two images disappeared. ******************************************************* Fredrick gathered his remaining energy and began to cough. Coughing for several moments, black sludge began to pour from his mouth. Fredrick couldn't breath still and his life was rapidly ending. With all of his energy, Fredrick began to convulse and quake. After a few moments, Fredrick lost all conciousness and energy. His body slumped to the ground in a heap, but he was breathing. His breaths were deep and labored. The creature couldn't attack Fredrick again because of KnightSpector and Prelate holding it back.

"Remember what I told you! A direct shot the nerve core. The yellow thing." Prelate replied as he parried, struck, and blocked with one of the creatures.
"What yellow thing!?" Knightspector screamed as he continued to hold the other two back with lightning as the Droidekas burned useless holes in them. "THIS ONE!" Dark screamed back stabbing his psionic Zard through the creature and pulled out a small cyberonic yellow ball that spewed black liquid from it's wounds. "This is the actual creature, destroy it and the body will fall." the he grabbed the ball from his sword and squeezed it until it broke into a ball of metal wiring and blood. Knightspector psionically did the same to the other creatures and destroyed the yellow balls, and the water like bodies just evaporated into the air, leaving no trace except for the residue of the struggle. "Where to now?" 45 asked. "An infirmary." Knightspector replied staring at his unconscious apprentice. "That is 3 floor directly above us. Three of the most infested floors..." 78 and 08 replied unanimously, "and the service elevators can only take us and 3 Droidekas. And there are no un destroyed computer terminals above." "Say what you like, but we are still going." KnightSpector replied as he head down the hallway. |

'I don't care if you help me or not. I'm going no matter what, with or without you. I don't need a hunk of metal like you to help me.' KnightSpector directed to the two droids.
KnightSpector placed Fredrick on his back and cloaked. Soft steps could be heard leaving the group. Prelate stood there with shock running down his spine, or could it be that the air was getting colder. KnightSpector may be a loner for the most part but he couldn't take on three levels of mutants. ***************************************************************************** KnightSpector used a broken turbolift and psionically powered it to a corridor outside of the Infirmary. He had been there so many times that he knew where it was no matter where he was in the lab. Entering the Infirmary after a short, dark walk, KnightSpector looked and watched a giant creature that was growing over the equipment. The creature had giant mouths all over it. Its breath was terrible and sickening. It was getting colder as the creature absorbed the energy from the air. The large green creature opened its mouths and began to throw up tiny mutants that looked like gremlins. The creatures left and rushed down the corridors, whooping and making loud noises. KnightSpector stared at the creature, thinking of a way to destroy it without doing too much damage to the much needed equipment. Putting Fredrick down in a hidden panel, KnightSpector uncloaked to face the creature and its little minions.

"Quickly! My scanners are picking up massive amounts of clone distress signals on this floor. There might be survivors!" 45 screamed in delight dashing off of the maintenance lift and into the dark. The three droidekas followed.
"I am picking up droid signals also, in the recharge room. Lots of fuss about eletro magnetic creatures dancing around outside." 78 replied. Prelate and the droids moved urgently down the splintering hallway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- KnightSpector blasted away creature after creature, trying desperately to destroy them with out damaging the medical equipment. One of the bolts hit a holocron, setting it off and producing a hologram of Prelate. "What in the world!?" he screamed staring at the goopy creature spewing forth small gremlins. "Can you tell me how to beat it!?" KnightSpector asked the hologram. He did not take notice KnightSpectors existence. "It's growing all over my Tiberium Blossoms! I can't imagine how much it's mutated my beautiful crystalline blossoms! AHHHHHHHHH WHY!? WHY!?" Holo-Prelate continued to scream terrified. "Wait, Tiberium. That's what the creature is using to fuel himself." If he recalled correctly, back in his travels Prelate said something about the Tiberium infestation of Earth a mere hundred years ago. KnightSpector quickly raised both hands and fired off a focused concussive shockwave. directed at the spawning creature. Suddenly there was a sudden shattering as Tiberium shards flew in all directions, the creatures began to go into seizures. KnightSpector paid them no heed and began to heal Fredrick using the available equipment. |

The creature growled in anger and creeped closer. Its energy source gone, the mutant spawner wanted an alternative energy source, psionics. A tentacle wrapped around KnightSpector's and began to drain his energies.
Renewed, the creature began to spawn more of the gremlin creatures and sent them to the source of the hologram, three levels down. KnightSpector's vision became blurry with the constant draining of his energies. Fredrick was still laboring to breath and was unconsious. The monstrosity was not concerned with KnightSpector because the sapping practically crippled the Protoss. ***************************************************************************** Loud whooping and screeches closed in on Prelate's location. A wave of sharp clawed, salivating gremlins flooded out of the deep darkness. Prelate knew that KnightSpector failed in destroying the spawner and that there was a long fight ahead. The droids held the gremlins back with their blaster rifles. But each one that died seemed to be replaced by two more. The blaster fire seemed to do little damage to the swarming creatures.

Prelate raised his hands a teleknecticly push the creatures into a hovering ball, thenb taking his Zard, he began to slash at them, one after another, incinerating their little bodies and leaving gaping holes soon filled by more of the creatures. Prelate had enough, swiftly he pulled out a small pistol about the size of a banana and fired two earsplitting resonating shots. Each of them tore through layers of gremlings, shattering their Tiberium structure and turning them into dust.
************************************************************* 45 continued down the hall apporaching rapidly at the distress signal. Gradualy the tunnel became tallker and wider until it got to the point of being near cavernous. *Maday! Maday! This is AT-TE walker delta 9-0-5-3! We are under heavy attack, I repeat we are under heavy attack!!! Requesting all available back up immediately! Please! Is anyone out there!? Anyone!?* 45 blinked for a second than broke into a dead run trying to close the distance between him and the AT-TE as quickly as possible. Suddenly 45 slammed into a solid nano-steel door, he fell back, dazed for a bit and then got up again. "This is Commando unit 45. Delta 9-0-5-3, do you copy?" *Copy, sir. Opening the gate your at immediately.* The door kurches and slowly, the blast door opened enough for 45 and the three droidekas to step through. The room was covered in dazzling white light. 45's helmet adjusted quickly to allow him to see the situation. He was in the cloning room, thousands upon thousands of clones still in gestation were held afloat by repulserlift, and at the opposite end, a AT-TE and many clones holding their ground against a army of swarming creatures, consisting of many revipers and omegalisks. *************************************************************** Fredrick gasped suddenly, comming back to cocousness. his eyes darted around the room and suddenly layed on the near dead KnightSpector. |

The creature that was latched to KnightSpector left the Protoss barely alive. Alive enough to continue to produce the life-sustaining psionics that let the Spawner create more gremlins.
The Spawner opened it one large, bulbous eye and looked at the Terran, who mistakenly gasped at the sudden regaining of consciousness. With greed the Spawner reached forward with a tentacle and tried to clasp the Terran, who surged with psionic energies. Fredrick blinked out of reach, igniting his psi blades and activating his shield. 'This is why I trained so hard.' Fredrick told himself. The Spawner roared with anger. The creature's slimy green skin turned deep red. KnightSpector groaned in pain as the Spawner increased its absorption of the precious energies. The now red creature began to spill out many different creatures from its maws. The gremlins and Revipers, the spiders and a strange mechanical looking unit. Fredrick's eyes grew wide. In the energies of the Khala, he could feel a strong pulse, a beacon that called to all of the other mutants. Fredrick was going to have company soon and his master was getting closer to death with every ounce of strength slowly sapped from his body. ************************************************************************** Three floors below, Prelate and the two battle droids held their ground against unrelenting waves of gremlins. Suddenly, from behind. A shriek rippled through the hallway. Prelate looked behind and saw creatures running towards him from behind. 'Keep firing at the little creatures, I'll handle this new threat.' Prelate ordered the two droids. "Roger, roger. Roger, roger." The said to each other and continued to combat the gremlins. Prelate lifted his Zard and prepared to strike, but he hesitated for a second. He thought he saw something but didn't trust his eyes to the darkness. A blur flashed by him, with a glint of gold. Another blur dashed by, followed by more. Prelate turned to see what was going on. Seven Blood Scouts began to combat the gremlins. Bloody parts of the little creatures flew in all directions. From behind, a Blood Shaman came from the darkness. "Greetings Darkre. It has been far too long since we have met. I am Shaman Goraem. It has been many centuries since you have last been in our midst." The Shaman said. 'I don't recall you.' Prelate said, he peered back to the battle and watched the Scouts and two droids destroy the gremlins. "My memory is as clear as crystal. I was only a young Defiler then, my metamorphosis had not yet began at the time. But you were created by the Xel'Naga, as we were modified from a previous creation. You are completely Protoss, while we Blood Wraiths are the perfect mixture. The savagery of the Zerg with the might of the Protoss. The control of the Protoss with the abilities of both. Pride, self-reliance, mercy, and intellegence from the Protoss. The unity, power, strength, and senses of the Zerg. As I have said, the perfect mixture. We Blood Wraiths are the true hybrid. We were created to defend the Xel'Naga from the Zerg and Protoss that wished to destroy them. Though when the Zerg finished off all of the Xel'Naga, we were not ready yet. We were sent away and be completed somewhere else. I was given the leadership over the Blood Wraiths, and thus I was given the memories of some of the Xel'Naga. These memories helped me continue their work to finish the Blood Wraiths. When I met you, you were in the lands of Gori. The Gori helped us survive and continue to grow." The Shaman said with strength and wisdom in his voice. 'How come then that I don't recall you?' Prelate countered. "Not everything is retained perfectly in memory. Things deemed as unimportant are commonly forgotten when most convenient. I am able to remember everything is because I have the ability to see far into the future and replay the past. With my knowledge comes one drawback. I see when I die, and I know that I have no way of stopping it. My death is absolute, every decision I make ultimately leads to my death and there is no escaping my fate. KnightSpector has also seen his death and far beyond. Though I have given him the same sight, I have omitted everything that has you within the memory. It is so that things can play out so KnightSpector can prove that his heart is good, despite his appearance and some of his choices." Shaman Goraem continued. ************************************************************************** Fredrick slashed at the Revipers and swarming gremlins. His shields were on the brink of falling apart. The Spawner just spewed more creatures to replace the ones destroyed. And pouring in from the dark halls were even more mutants. Fredrick was cautious not to do anything to harm his master. But the more he danced around, trying not to hurt KnightSpector, the more creatures came to fight him. Without second thoughts, Fredrick unleashed psionic storms in the room. While the storms raged, Fredrick pushed himself to leap into the maw of the Spawner, which had grown in size as it got back into the Tiberium Blossoms. When inside the Spawner, Fredrick found the heart and thrusted his psi blade into it, killing the creature. After another few minutes, Fredrick cleared the room and was covered in black, blue and red blood. ************************************************************************** More Blood Wraith soldiers appeared in the hallway and began to fight the fading gremlins. Soon the halls were filled with blood but was cleared of enemies. "Shall we continue?" Shaman Goraem asked Prelate.

Turning his head away, Prelate stared into the darkness and suddenly shook his head.
"No. I can sense Xylet. He knows we escaped. He's on his way here as of now." Dark barely was able to say as immense amounts of psionic energy bombarded him. The energies were dark. Hatred, grief, angst, pain, sadness, horror, anger. Not a single piece of good left. "We have to leave. If he arrives, it will doom us all." Goraem stared at Prelate skeptical. " I see no danger ahead, I sense no energy. You, have you been ly-" the shaman stopped mid sentence. Hundreds of new images wedged themselves into his mind, new realities, new possibilities. Suddenly, the world was no longer straightforward. Alternate futures, to many to explore. It would take an eternity of undisturbed meditation to figure out each and everyone. "Now I see. I, my master, all have been blinded by something, it only one course of occurrences. The most likely way. They showed us only what they wanted to say, guiding us to follow that exact course of action." "It should not take something as immensely powerful and as evil as Xylet to allow you to figure that out. Now quickly!" Prelate responded pointing his hand at the wall next to him. Suddenly the metal began to churn, changing shape, morphing into something new, then as it all began to stop Prelate held up his other hand and pushed forward, carving a tunnel through not much diffrently than a strong gust of wind will cut a path through fog. "This will lead us to the cloning chambers for a redevouz everyone in!" |

The group, now growing in size with more Blood Wraiths, moved away from the approaching Xylet.
Goraem walked and thought through the different paths that had been opened to his mind. Each seemed as unlikely as the next, only the original plans that his parents, the Xel'Naga, had revealed seemed the most plausible. Perhaps, Xylet's power not only derives in a physical nature but in a psychological nature as well. Perhaps, Xylet has planted these alternate truths within Goraem's mind in order to throw off the Blood Wraith balance that had been gained by the pure energy that KnightSpector gave off that completed the Xel'Naga's work. Goraem spoke to Prelate about this matter. "Darkre, since we seem to have a long distance to travel, may I speak with you?" 'You may, I guess.' Prelate said back. "I believe that Xylet is trying to interfere with the minds of the Blood Wraiths. I am unsure of what Xylet's goals are for doing so, but I can feel that all alternate truths are false and the original cycle that I witnessed is the real course of events. Each of the alternates are extremely unlikely and there probability is less than 1 out of 192,540,173,519,826,491,072,510. The odds are against the alternates. Do you know, for certain, if your old apprentice, Xylet, is able to influence others by placing false thoughts within their mind? And by so influence, how much influence can he have? We Blood Wraiths are connected much like the Zerg, our thoughts can be shared with one another. But we have a level of privacy, a place where some thoughts can remain ours. What I would like to know is can Xylet utilize the connection of the Blood Wraiths to try and control us via thought control?" Goraem asked Prelate.
