And another thing:
--> Carrier +2 basic armor (4 that is)
--> Interceptor +3 basic armor (3 that is)
--> Viking +2 damage vs Massive
basically that's what screws the Carrier up IMO - Marines eat them too fast for breakfast, if you increase their armor by quite a bit - you'd probably force Terran to use Vikings instead overall.. Nony did quite a few Carrier games today.. So IDK - unless Nony screwed his upps Marines were really chewing through those pretty easily.. Basically mass Zealot fodder was the reason he didn't lose them immediately but managed to hold..
So yah --> more Carrier armor is a top priority ATM IMO.. Viking should probably be buffed to do the task more preferably instead.. After all - +3 marine does 4 damage per shot to a +3 Carrier which is really ridiculous IMO..
However - If Viking with those buffs proves to be strong vs Zerg - then there are quite a bit more changes that would screw things up overall..
Like - then you'd probably need to make Broodlords have +2 armor as well and Stalkers to +2 damage bonus to massive.. Noone would really care if Archons did 34 or 32 damage to Lords, but Stalkers should.. They'd die to Toilet anyways and Stalkers rarely ever fight vs other Massive targets other than BLords (or Colossi which also isn't a bad overall thing lol)..
PLUS --> +2 Armor won't hurt vs Corruptors much either --> it's gonna be basically 10% less DPS taken from Corruptors (easily compensated with Corruption, maybe even buff it a bit - sth like +25% more damage instead of +20% or sth similar - all that if need be, but doubt so)..
Couldn't be more simple than that..
About the Carrier issue though:
SC2 however would never have the BW feel regarding the Carrier.. In BW Goliaths chased and shooted at Carriers more slowly.. In SC2 even if implemented the Carrier micro and changed back or fixed the bug as Nony suggested --> it would be basically impossible to micro the Carriers, simply cause the game is too fast to manually lead the way.. In BW Interceptors had a bit more feeling like Vultures where you could indeed "react" and switch target or do whatever command you'd do.. In SC2 the Interceptors are like flies - can't direct them, switch targets too quickly, shoot too quickly, you'll lose countless DPS if you try doing it so, so instead what you do is just launch and let them do what they do best..
And lastly - if Carriers proove to be as tough as required vs GtA easily massed T1/T2 units (Marine most of all) with it's brand new 4 basic armor instead of 2 --> then you could afford for the Interceptor having decreased movement speed and thus result in less DPS but give the player back the feel of actually controlling the Carrier's attacks at least a bit if not overall..
So yah --> those are the few changes that the game feels the need of IMO.. Ages might pass before something is done about it though.. Kinda know it and don't expect it so cause basically it took periods of 2-ish years between patches in BW for suddle things like this to happen overall..
