Dang you beat me to it!

This one's really cool looking, it's possible the back end is some kind of anti air attack since that seems to be what zerg needs right now.

Looks like it has a very large... zerg a$$. In portuguese it would be called a Tanajura (a big ant with an even bigger a$$).

EDIT: And looks like it shoots air units with acid or something else from the top of that a$$ part, so Zerg get T1 anti air.

My guess: Needs to burrow to use that shell thing on its back. Works like a lurker.

Yeah I'm thinking its some form of burrowed unit. Morphs from Roach maybe?

It does look like it has roach looks so that's a good possibility.

Looks like a ground siege unit the zerg has been longing for. It also looks like it can attack while burrowed if its back end stays above ground.

Yeah... SC2 version of the lurker. Doesn't look like it can attack from above ground. Could benefit from tunneling claws?

Thank you Mandos. Now just looking at the picture alone I can see a few things right off. The head is almost a perfect match for Hydra(Jaw could be hydra or roach). The unit has the Hydras spikes in the side, what looks like part of the Hydras crest. The legs and back look more in common of the Roach though. Still this appears to be a morphing unit(better not be Hydra/roach combo, or the 'erg are a bunch of thieving bastards).

As for the use, this could be the new lurker, or a Lurker like unit(Needs to burrow to attack). Maybe an AA unit that attacks when burrow(long rang, and/or high damage). Will need to think about the role a bit more, and see what the 'erg would be lacking.

tbh, that thing on it's back looks like a creep tumor. I don't see a much use of a hydra that spreads creep though.

How? Creep tumors are a mass of tumors, creep, and spikes(everything looks more intimidating with spikes). The only thing the two have in common are the bumps on the back could look like tumors. Over all though I have to say this unit has a very spider like look....IT MUST BE PURGED FROM THIS GAME!

I hope its like the giant artillery acid beetles from starship troopers. That would be awesome.

the mouth is definitely the same, just a bit bigger in the back. and i would have to agree that it looks more like a burrowing unit... hard to say, though...

oh, and thanks for whoever cleaned up my post. forgot the facebook link. I am an idiot.
